Memorial Day was historically known as Decoration Day. It is the period of the year to acknowledge and mark the sacrifices of all the military men and women who martyred for the United States of America. Inspired by the Southern States, this occasion of remembrance was adopted after the American Civil War. It is basically practiced in the last week of the month of May every year. The Memorial Weekend would occur from 24th - 27th May this year.

Memorial Day Graveyard

Generally, Memorial Day is a 3-Day Public Holiday in which schools and most of the businesses are closed. Portraying unity and care, a lot of people follow sports, family gathering or picnics for the weekend. In most of the families, Memorial Day weekend is the official time for outdoor trips and picnics as there is no piled up homework or office work for the next due to the long weekend off.
Thus, camping sites fill-up faster. So, make sure to plan your reservation quickly to get benefit from the offers, discounts and special themes of the Memorial Day.
